Santa Fe Kiwanis Club collection 1924-2001

This collection consists of Kiwanis Club papers from the 1920's through 2001. The papers detail membership, weekly meetings, and club finances, as well as club activities such as luncheons, club-sponsored social events, and regional and international conferences. The collection contains many papers related to the burning of Zozobra and the Santa Fe Fiesta, as well as a VHS copy of the 2001 documentary about Zozobra. In addition, the collection chronicles key Kiwanis programs such as the Santa Fe Youth Day and the Kiwanis scholarship program for college-bound seniors. The collection houses many newspaper clippings. As well as several member-made personal club scrapbooks, the collection contains copies of the Zozobra scrapbook made for the Library of Congress Local Legacies Bicentennial Project in 2000.
